U.S. E. Coast Delivery
The migration between New England and Florida (and return) is the most-traveled long-distance route on the U.S. East Coast — and one of the most demanding to do well. Whether you are moving your boat south ahead of winter, repositioning north for the summer season, or taking delivery of a newly purchased vessel, SEASCORPS delivers your sailboat, catamaran, or powerboat safely and on your schedule, with or without owners aboard.
Yacht Delivery from New England to Florida along the U.S. eastern seaboard
The Route
A New England–to–Florida delivery covers roughly 1,200 nautical miles and crosses several distinct bodies of water, each with its own challenges: the open Atlantic off southern New England, the approaches to New York and the New Jersey coast, the Chesapeake and Delaware Bay region, and the long run past the Carolinas. The defining obstacle is Cape Hatteras — the convergence of the Gulf Stream and shoaling waters that has earned its reputation as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic." Rounding it safely requires real offshore judgment about weather windows, Gulf Stream positioning, and when to stand off versus push through.
Depending on your vessel and your preferences, the passage can run offshore for speed, inside on the Intracoastal Waterway for protection, or a combination of the two. We plan the route around your boat's sustainable speed, your timeline, and the conditions — never the other way around.
